Test During the Heating Seasons: Radon levels are generally higher in the winter because homes are sealed up, allowing radon to accumulate. Testing during this time can provide an accurate assessment of peak levels. Summer testing might show lower radon levels due to increased ventilation when windows and doors are open more frequently.

Avoid Testing During Unusual Weather: Testing during storms, high winds, or extreme temperature fluctuations can impact results. Because of the different geology that consists in the northwest and atmospheric pressure, the radon levels fluctuate at a higher rate than anywhere else in the country.
